My husband received a Nextbook 7 Premium android tablet as one of his gifts this past Christmas, and my current mission is to figure out how to make it as useful as possible for our son to use as far as downloading apps and games that would help to teach him colors, numbers, shapes, letters, and be helpful as far as him hearing words and hopefully start to repeat them, and begin to talk finally.
Accessing apps on the nextbook has been nothing short of a nightmare, the included “SlideMe Marketplace” while having a good number of apps available is quite disappointing as far as the apps available for a preschool aged child.
Next to try, was Google’s Android marketplace (Google Play) and since the Nextbook is not one of the devices supported by Google, I can’t download any apps from there. Ugh.
And now I’m working on using the last available option that I know of: the AmazonĀ App Store. I’ve been having issues with the tablet getting an internet connection via wifi, so I’m planning on going somewhere with free wifi (coffee shop, mcdonald’s, etc) and seeing if that would possibly help (I hope that it does!) to download the store app and be able to use it. I hope that this is the end of my troubles, I’ll update afterwards!
