Did you know that once upon a time I was actually majoring in photography in college?? No? Well, now you know. I told you that just so that I can tell you that I hardly ever take photos just for the fun of it anymore. I’ve lost interest in photography. Although I will use a camera to capture memories; my son’s birthday parties for example, or to capture fun things that we’ve done like a day at the zoo; but.. that’s about it.
I even started the “Sunday Snapshots” series here on the blog, hoping that it would motivate me to use a camera more often, to take just for fun photos of anything and everything. It hasn’t worked so far, in fact last week I had to force myself to use the camera (on Saturday, talk about procrastinating!) just so that I would have some photos to post for that feature. That really bums me out, but how can I force myself to get motivated to use the camera more often? I really don’t know!
I do know that I want to be taking photos a lot more often, and that I actually want to like getting out there to take them and have fun while I’m doing it. I just have to make time and force myself to get out there!
