My Current Shopping Wishlist

Just a few things that I would love to be able to buy, and if I had the extra money I most likely would have purchased for myself by now!

Barnes & Noble – Nook Tablet

Canon Rebel T3i DSLR Camera

17″ HP Laptop *This particular one!*

27″ 3.1GHz Apple iMac computer I don’t know.. I’ve just always wanted to have an Apple computer since I learned that they were *standard* in the graphic design industry.

Do you find it sad that these are all electronics items? I also need clothing and shoes, but I’m not a high-fashion type of girl when it comes to that stuff, maybe I’ll do a separate shopping wishlist for those things!

Some Things I Think About

  • I think that if I didn’t bake so often.. then I wouldn’t have all these 30ish pounds to lose.
  • I think that I could give up on my creative hopes and dreams, and just work towards finding a “normal” job then I would quite possibly be making more money… but then I’m sure I would be completely miserable.
  • I think I could just choose any high paying career, go to school for it, and I would make lots of money. Maybe I’d even be good at what I do. But again, money will not buy happiness.
  • Sometimes I think that I must be flawed in some way, to be so strong willed and determined that I could make a living working from home; obviously that is not a goal of any ‘normal’ or ‘average’ people.
  • Sometimes I think that my marriage would work out better if I could just go work that 9-5 job and then come home, clean and cook, etc, without any complaints or desire for other people to help with things. Also, HECK NO, THAT’S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.
  • I think it’d be nice to have a part-time housekeeper, cook, or a nanny. Or maybe one person that does all of those. Maybe a duplicate of myself.
  • I think my husband should be more supportative of what I do with my time, and my goals for the future. Or anything that I choose to do.
  • I think no one should have to give up on their goals or dreams, or even have to seriously consider doing so.
  • Sometimes I think that MAN, I REALLY LIKE THESE BULLET LIST POSTS. Ha.

Ifs and What Nots

  • If I didn’t spend so much time on Bloglovin every day, I’d get a lot more blog stuff done!
  • I didn’t take time this week to schedule posts in advance, I can really tell the difference and I don’t like it.
  • I need to edit photos from this week and last week, and then post my ‘Friday Favorites’.. hopefully sometime later today I’ll get this done.
  • I need to edit above mentioned photos for my Project 365 also.
  • I sleep usually until 10:30am or later, I feel that this really needs to change. I want be the kind of person who wakes up super early in the morning to get the daily workout over with before everyone else in the house wakes up.
  • I feel like such a blog slacker this week, I’m suffering from major lack of motivation!!

I Used to be a Cosmetic Junkie

Since I’ve moved up to Ontario to be with my husband and our son, a lot of things have changed! I used to work in retail and so I was very much used to dressing up in work clothes and wearing makeup all the time. I still have a bunch of my stuff at my parents house; around 50 bottles of nail polish, various makeup items like brushes, eyeshadows, various lipstick and glosses, lip balms, eyelash curler, hair dryer/straightener.. a lot of items that I haven’t yet had any use for here.

My husband really prefers that I don’t wear makeup, which can be nice in that I don’t need to try, but it’s also kind of frustrating if I do want to wear makeup because then he’s there to critisize me and say how I don’t need it.

Of course I brought along some makeup items when I came up here, but we spent a lot of the summer at the beach so my skin is now too dark for the foundations that I brought along, and I’ve sort of caved in on the not wearing makeup thing. Most of my time is just spent in the house, around my husband, our son, and my In-Laws.. I’m okay with not wearing makeup around them and if we go out to the mall or shopping. But! If we are going to some type of family get together, like a surprise birthday party, christmas eve & christmas day dinner, or a baby shower; then I’m going to make darn sure that I’m wearing makeup for those occasions!

I think this is completely understandable, isn’t it? We don’t have a bunch of money to spare here as far as being able to buy all the nail polish, foundations, and other cosmetics that my heart desires, so I’ve just been making due with the little bit of makeup that I brought along with me. I also have a few nail polishes here (5ish?), and will paint my nails from time to time.

I still make sure to wash my face morning & night, if there’s anything cosmetic related that I’ve bought since I’ve been here it’s been a new face wash since the old one ran out. I should purchase a moisturizer (maybe a tinted one) soon just for the added skin protection and benefits, and I wear lip balm and lip glosses just about every day. Some days I miss wearing makeup and put some of it on just for fun, some days I even miss dressing up; but most days.. it’s just a heck of a lot easier not to have to worry about applying makeup.

I Lost Weight!!

I weighed myself using our Wii Balance Board (we don’t have a traditional bathroom scale in our house) and discovered that I have lost a whopping FIVE pounds since I last weighed in 3 weeks ago! Amazing!!

I weighed in after lunch, so it’s possible that I’ve actually lost more weight than this (you are supposed to weigh yourself first thing in the morning for best results) but I’m so excited! I mostly have EA Sports Active 2 to thank for these results, it’s not coincidence that over those same 3 weeks I was doing the “Cardio Quick Start” program on that game, and that 3 hour long walk I did a few days ago probably helped out a little bit too!

This just makes me want to continue working out with EA Sports Active 2 has long as I can keep seeing these kinds of results! I’m sure I’ll be starting another program on that game very soon!
