I’ve just been feeling like such a slacker these past few weeks, all I want to do is sleep. I think I should probably start taking multivitamins every day and see if that helps to make me feel like I have some energy, I bet that would help.

All things considered, I really don’t want to quit doing Project 365, I just need to regain my motivation and my focus, and then I think I’ll be able to continue it. So I’ve already missed more days this year than I ever meant to, that doesn’t matter, I’d still like to have as many photos as possible by the end of this year. I’m not quitting.

I am addicted to online shopping. It’s a bit of a problem, and unfortunately thanks to Ellicott City clear wireless internet, it’s only getting worse. I used to only have access to do my shopping while I was at home, but I can now make an impulse purchase wherever I am. I’ve been known to browse some of my favorite sites on my lunch break while I’m sitting in my parking garage, and I can usually do some major damage before my hour is up! I obviously use the internet for other purposes too, but being able to search for something, click a link, and pay using a credit card you have saved on file is just too awesome to pass up. I am kind of terrible with my buyer’s remorse, though…I definitely return a lot of stuff once it ships, either because of fit or because by the time I get it I’ve decided I don’t want it or even need it. My poor husband just groans every time he comes home to find another box on the front stoop. I think he’s accepted it, at this point.

I’d say my favorite items are the gray bag, the quilt and the oven mitts. I had a lot of fun browsing around all the different items for sale, and even found a couple of great wedding gift items that I may have to purchase for weddings I’ll be attending this summer!

Here’s how I think a typical day in my future dream life might go…

• Wake up around 7am, spend around 30 minutes to an hour working out, then shower and get dressed for the day.
• Make myself something healthy to eat for breakfast, perhaps a “green monster” smoothie.
• After breakfast, head to the computer to start work. I think I’d have some sort of etsy type store open, so first thing would be to check for any new orders that need to be shipped and work on getting those ready. (probably get online to usps.com and schedule a free package pickup for those, just so I don’t need to leave the house!)
• Once orders are ready to go, do a quick check of email to see if there’s anything that needs to be answered right away.
• Next, spend time working on business related things; paid blogging or paid article writing, design work, work on creating things to be sold.
• Lunch break, something healthy. Eat, then spend 30 minutes working on household chores; laundry, dishes, cleaning.
• Back to work, check email and try to get everything answered and the inbox cleared out.
• Spend an hour or so working on blogging, scheduling posts out in advance, working on projects for diy posts, etc.
• Take a 30 minute break, get a snack, work on chores or go outside for a quick walk.
• Spend the next hour and a half working on the etsy store, listing more items to be sold, creating things, packaging things, printing invoices to be filed. etc.
• It should now be around 5 pm, time to start working on dinner. Work is now finished for at least a few hours.

I realized that this is a “dream” day, I have no actual idea what my typical day would be like if and when I do work for myself from home. I imagine that it probably wouldn’t be much like this; life would probably get in the way and I’d be working much later than 5pm, and that would be okay too. I realize that if I want to work from home that I would need to be flexible in my scheduling and making sure that I still have time to get everything done that I need do each day.

27″ 3.1GHz Apple iMac computer I don’t know.. I’ve just always wanted to have an Apple computer since I learned that they were *standard* in the graphic design industry.

Do you find it sad that these are all electronics items? I also need clothing and shoes, but I’m not a high-fashion type of girl when it comes to that stuff, maybe I’ll do a separate shopping wishlist for those things!

How cute is it that my almost 4 year old actually wrote the names on the valentine’s day cards?? I just “wrote” out the letters in dotted lines and he traced them, amazing!

I think all parents must feel this way about their children growing up, time truly does seem to pass by in the blink of an eye. I will make every effort I can to enjoy being around this little guy while he’s still young, while he doesn’t have homework, and while his parents are truly still his best friends.

I’ve had a serious desire to bake cupcakes for Valentine’s Day, a huge urge to make them and decorate them with sprinkles. I think it’s sort of funny actually, I don’t have any sprinkles or baking cups here, but I think I have enough stuff to make a vanilla cake mix and buttercream icing from scratch if I really, really wanted to bake.. cupcakes without paper liners, and without spinkles that is.

I think instead of baking them today for Valentine’s Day, that I’ll just wait a little while longer and maybe bake them this weekend. We already have so many sweets to enjoy today (like cinnamon hearts, miniature reese’s cups, a hershey’s cookies and cream chocolate bar, and I’m sure more goodies will be showing up for my son later on today too!!) so I think it will be wise for me to wait.

I hope that you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and get to stuff yourself with all the candy and chocolate that your heart desires! I say go to a fancy place and get yourself some chocolate-covered strawberries and some chocolate-covered oreos too, that would be super delicious!!
